Q: What services does Pure Voice offer?
A: We currently offer voice server hosting; both Ventrilo and TeamSpeak are available.
Q: What payment forms does Pure Voice accept?
A: We accept PayPal as our primary method of payment. However, for users without PayPal we also accept MasterCard, Discover, Visa, and American Express. To pay with a direct credit card: You will be taken to the PayPal website to login, please click on the option above the login boxes that mentions not having an accont. That will take you to the page where you can enter in your credit card information. (This is for Manual Payments ONLY, not subscription) You can shop with confidence knowing that transactions are protected by the highest level of security via SSL encryption. As a last resort and as a convience to our customers, we also accept check, money order, and cash under the amount of $100 USD.
Q: Are Pure Voice's servers public or private?
A: Pure Voice provides servers for personal use whether it is public or private. With that said, if you buy a server, it is yours to do what you wish; you do not share it with anyone. Public or private, you make the call.
Q: What locations does Pure Voice offer?
A: We currently offer Los Angeles, CA; Fremont, CA; Cedar Falls, IA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Richmond, VA; London, England; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and Frankfurt, Germany. More information can be found on our Geographical page.

Billing Questions

Q: I just ordered a server, when will I receive my information?
A: You should recieve your server information within 2 minutes of placing your order via our website. If you did not recieve your information within this time and you have checked your control panel for information with no success, then please contact our support department via your Ticket Console located in your control panel. Please note that you need to pay for your server before you will receive the information.
Q: How do I renew my Ventrilo/TeamSpeak Server?
A: To renew a server, log into your Pure Voice Control Panel which is accessible via the Pure Voice website (http://www.pure-voice.net/). Once logged in, refer to the right navigation and click on "Billing Information". Select the server that you would like to renew and then choose your preferred method of renewal. Please note that the Bulk Renewal option should only be used if you wish to pay for more than one server attached to your account.
Q: How will I know when my server payment is due?
A: We recommend you write down all your information including the date you registered your server which is also your billing date. However, Pure Voice sends out renewal notices via E-mail to remind you of your server payment due date. You can also check this information via your control panel as well.
Q: My Ventrilo/TeamSpeak Server was taken offline due to nonpayment, what should I do?
A: Please DO NOT create a new account. The only thing you need to do is login to our control panel and go to the billing section and renew the server(s) that are offline. Once payment is received, the renewed server(s) will then be restored within 5 minutes of renewal. If service isn't restored in that time period, please create a ticket via the ticket system located in your control panel.

Network Related Support Questions

Q: My server is experiencing latency problems, how can I fix it?
A: Very rarely does the Pure Voice network ping high or go down. If this does come to light, please refer to our "Network Status" forum (http://www.pure-voice.net/forums/index.php?showforum=4) which is normally updated 5-10 minutes after investigating a network issue. We will also post any updates (if serious) in your control panel news and/or send out global emails describing the issue.
Note: Restarting your server will not correct latency issues under any circumstances.
Q: My server is down and I don't know why.
A: The first thing you should do is submit a ticket via your "Ticket Console" which is located in your control panel. Also, please check our IRC channel located on irc.GameSurge.net at #PureVoice for the most current server information and to possibly find others that may be having the same issue. If a server is offline, please let PV staff concentrate their time on regaining service to that machine and not PM them asking for an estimated time of restored service. This includes flooding the ticket console. Server restoration will be posted in our IRC topic as well as updated in whichever ticket you created. If you are still not sure as to why your server is down, and know it is not due to payment, please contact a PV staff member to receive assistance.
Q: Where is the best place to find an update on my servers status (if down or not working)?
A: If a network issue comes to light, we normally have an update posted on our website within a matter of minutes explaining the issues. This includes our forums (http://www.pure-voice.net/forums/) and your control panel news. We will also have up2date information posted in our IRC channel topic, we can be found on irc.GameSurge.net #purevoice. You can also check the status of your server via the control panel on the right hand side to see if it is "OFFLINE" or "ONLINE". The "Network Status" page also located in your control panel is a valuable resource for checking the availability of the machine your server is on.

Ventrilo Support Information

Q: How do I unban a user from my Ventrilo server?
A: With the release of v2.2.0, the client can now use the implemented gui ban list editor. Goto Server Admin and then select Ban list, from there you can edit what you want.
Alternative method
Log into your server admin by right clicking on the server name, choose "Server Admin" and then "Login." Once you are logged into your server as an admin, right click the server name, select Server Admin, then "RCon". Once you are there, type banlist. This will pull your servers ban list up so you can view bans. Since Ventrilo bans users by their IPs, the next command to type is bandel IPHERE (Replace IPHERE with the IP of the user you would like to unban). At this point, the user selected to be unbanned will be able to access your server once again.
Q: How do I make additional channels in my server?
A: Log into your server admin by right clicking on the server name, choose "Server Admin" and then "Login." Once you are logged into your server as an admin, right click on the server name once again and select "Channel Admin" then "Create." Fill out the option form it gives you for channel creation and it will automatically create your channel.
Q: How do I make channels within channels?
A: Log into your server admin by right clicking on the server name, choose "Server Admin" and then "Login." Once you are logged into your server as an admin, right click on the server you would like to make an additional channel within, select "Create." Fill out the option form it gives you for channel creation and it will automatically create your channel inside your original channel.
Q: How do I access rcon commands for my Ventrilo?
A: Log into your server admin by right clicking on the server name, choose "Server Admin" and then "Login." Once you are logged into your server as an admin, right click the Server Name, goto Server Admin and then select "RCon". Once you are in RCon, type help. This will pull up the available rcon commands for Ventrilo.
Q: How do I change my server password, admin password, server name, or any other server features?
A: Log into your personal control panel on the right side of this page under "Pure Control" - Once you are logged in, you will then see a button for Server Information. Once you click that, you will see the information you are able to change, please make your changes and click "Submit" and your server will then be restarted. If your information does not update, please contact a Pure Voice Staff member via the ticket system and we can help get you setup.
Q: I've been banned from my own Ventrilo server by another user with admin, how do I regain my access?
A: The first thing you will need to do is log into your control panel, go to "Server Information" and use the "Edit Servers Ban List" option. If you still cannot connect to the server or you keep being rebanned this is most likely due to the fact that the offender has added themselves to the user list allowing them access to the server regardless of server/admin password. If this is the case, you will need to select the "Edit Servers User List" option and remove the offender from the list. Please note that we suggest you change your Server/Admin passwords as well.

Control Panel Edit Ban/User List Questions:
Ban List: Click on "Retrieve List", your current ban list will then be displayed. You can either add or delete a ban from the list at this point. When adding a ban, the comment section is optional. Once you have made your changes, click the "Save/Restart" button to save the changes you made and restart your server.
User List: Click on "Retrieve List", your current user list will then be displayed. You can either add or delete a user from the list at this point. When adding a user, enter in that users name and desired password(case sensitive), then check the box if you wish to grant that user auto server admin rights. Once you have made you changes, click the "Save/Restart" button to save the changes you made and restart your server.
Q: I would like to change my codec, how can I do this?
A: All codecs are free of charge except for the GSM 6.10 (44100 Hz, 16 bit) and can be selected/changed via your Control Panel. If you wish to use the GSM 6.10 (44100 Hz, 16 bit) codec, there will be a $5 extra fee per month and can be found in the control panel under the server information tab.
Q: I would like to add users to my auth file, how can I do this?
A: With the release of 2.2.0, users can now edit their user list via the implemented GUI located by going to server admin and then User editor. You can also edit the user list via your control panel as well, doing it this way will also correct any 'permission' errors you encounter.
Q: How can I allow Mac users to connect to my Ventrilo server?
A: To allow Mac users to connect, the server must be running the Speex codec. To change your server codec, login to your control panel and navigate to the Server Information page; you will then see the option to change to another codec.
Q: I am experiencing sound problems while using the Speex codec and Windows, how can I fix this?
A: If you are experiencing any problems with sound while running the Speex codec on your windows machine, you need to obtain the Beta client from Ventrilo's download page, at the bottom of the page.
Q: Users are spaming my server with TTS or Wave binds, what can I do to prevent this?
A: Login to Server Admin via the client. (right click the server name, goto server admin, then login) Then goto the server admin option again and select Server Properties. At the bottom left-hand side of that window you will see the filters you need to change to prevent the spamming or disallow them completely.

TeamSpeak Support Information

Q: What is the TCP Query port for my server?
A: The TCP Query port is 55555.
Q: What is my username/password to login to my TS web control panel?
A: When you click on the link via the Server Information page in your control panel, it will take you to a login page for your server's web control. Your username and port will automatically be filled in for you, you then need to provide your password which is the same as the one to login to your account control panel.
Q: How do I login as Server Admin for the first time?
A: When you create an account, the server admin account is set to your control panel username and password. You can then login and change your accounts/settings as necessary.

General Pure Voice Information:

Q: I need to contact the Pure Voice staff regarding support, billing, and/or general information about my account(s) and server(s), what should I do?
A: Our preferred method of contact is via the ticket console which can be found in your Pure Voice control panel. Other methods of contact we now have are via email, live IRC chat, or means of telephone. The support contact numbers can be found via your "Contact Us" page in your control panel. For additional information, please visit our Contact Us page located on the main page.
Q: No one is answering me on IRC, what should I do?
A: Please contact us via the ticket system or by E-mail and/or make a post in our forums regarding any issue you are having in FULL DETAIL, including your ServerID. We check all means of contact several times a day and usually respond quickly. We also offer phone support that you can find on your control panel contact us page.
Q. How can I change my server's location or package/slot count?
A: To make a location or package change, PLEASE use the ticket system. Please DO NOT delete your server and create a new one!
Q. How can I cancel my Ventrilo or Teamspeak service?
A: To cancel your service, simply navigate to the Delete Server page in your control panel and fill out the form.
Q: My control panel is: Not allowing me to make changes, is not restarting after I saved my settings?
A: If your control panel is not updating your server settings after 2-5 minutes please DO NOT spam the restart button as this will not correct your issue. After 2-3 attempts at trying to restart your server without any success please email us (support@pure-voice.net), post in our forums (http://www.pure-voice.net/forums/) or visit us on IRC (irc.GameSurge.net #PureVoice). If the control panel is loading slowly or times out when logging in, which is very rare, please be patient. At any given time a few hundred users can be logged into the control panel causing a slow down in processing/load times within the control panel.
