Are the servers public or private?
Pure Voice provides servers for personal use whether it is public or private. With that said, if you buy a server, it is yours to do what you wish; you do not share it with anyone.

How can I contact a staff member to receive support?

Within your control panel, click on the Server Settings page. You will then see a sub-navigation, click on the Package Change option. If you need help, please contact us through your ticket console.

What is a "Silver Star Customer"?
Starting with our new website in March of 2009, we added the "Silver Star" benefit to customers who have been with us a total of 12 consecutive paid months or more. These customers will automatically receive an additional 10% off their renewal.

Billing Questions
I just ordered a server, when will I receive my server information?
You should recieve your server information within 2 minutes of placing your order via our website. If you did not recieve your information within this time and you have checked your control panel for information with no success, then please contact our support department via your Ticket Console located in your control panel. Please note that you need to pay for your server before you will receive the information.

How can I renew my server?
To renew a server, log into your Control Panel and goto the billing information page. Select the server that you would like to renew and then choose your preferred method of renewal. We now accept both credit card and paypal payments.

How do I know when my server payment is due?
The due date for each server can be found on the billing information page. Please note that we also send out billing notifications to your contact email in the following increments: +5, +3, +1, 0, -1 days.

My server was taken offline for non-payment, how can I get it back online?
Please DO NOT create a new account. The only thing you need to do is login to our control panel and go to the billing section and renew the server(s) that are offline. Once payment is received, the renewed server(s) will then be restored within 5 minutes of renewal. If service isn't restored in that time period, please create a ticket via the ticket system located in your control panel.

Before disputing a billing charge through your credit card or PayPal, please contact our staff via our control panel’s ticket system so we can resolve the matter easily.

I need to update my credit card information, where do I do this?
You can update your credit card information as well as your PayPal information via the Billing Information page located in your My.PV control panel. Please have all credit card information handy including the CVV2 security code located on the back of the card.

Network Related Support Questions
My server seems to be having latency problems, how can I fix it?
Very rarely does the Pure Voice network ping high or go down. If this does come to light, please refer to our
"Network Status" Forum which is normally updated 5-10 minutes after investigating a network issue. We will also post any updates (if serious) in your control panel news and/or send out global emails describing the issue.
Note: Restarting your server will not correct latency issues under any circumstances.

My server is offline and I don't know why, where I can find information about this?
The first thing you should do is make sure that your payment is up-to-date. If it is, the next thing would be to check the following resources: Network Status section in your control panel, Control panel News, and the Network Status section in our forums. More times than not, you will find information regarding outages there. As a last resort, please feel free to create a support ticket and a staff member will be happy to help.

From the Ventrilo client: right click on the server name, choose "Server Admin" and then "Login."

How can I create a channel?
From the Ventrilo client: Log into your server admin by right clicking on the server name, choose "Server Admin" and then "Login." Once you are logged into your server as an admin, right click on the server name once again and select "Channel Admin" then "Create." Fill out the option form it gives you for channel creation and it will automatically create your channel.
To create a sub-channel within a channel, right click on the channel you want the channel in and select "Channel Admin" then "Create". It works like a windows tree.

From the Ventrilo client: Goto Server Admin and then select Ban list, from there you can edit what you want.

From the Ventrilo client: Login to Server Admin then goto the server admin option again and select Server Properties. At the bottom left-hand side of that window you will see the filters you need to change to prevent the spamming or disallow them completely.

Useful rcon commands you should be aware of.
From the Ventrilo client: Goto Server Admin, RCon.
- help - this displays all the commands
- status - shows all users connected, their ping, their IP Address and your connection count.
- loggrep - allows you to parse your log file
- banlist - shows your current ban list
- banadd - allows you to add a ban
- bandel - allows you to delete a ban
- maxclients - shows your configured maxclients
- version - shows your current server version
You can type just the name and hit enter to have it show you the command options.
