Ventrilo 3.0.1 patch announced

After 24 hours of solid community feedback, the developer of Ventrilo has announced a patch to correct various "inconveniences" and small bugs with the new version. The major changes are listed below:

1) Clients will not display the (GUEST) tag by default. There will be a menu option called View -> Guests similar to View -> Rank if you want it on by default. Simple thing to add.

2) Given the Dup IP complaints the User Editor will default all "New" accounts created to "No Limit". The default guest account setting requires a server tweak, but the licensees have been given a quick way to get around that in the mean time. Or, have your server admin login and adjust the setting of the guest account live. Then issue a "Kick all guests". Problem solved.

3) MOTD for guest account will have option to display only if it changes like the normal motd.

4) An oversight in the user editor not displaying a horz scroll bar for REALLY long names was found.

The guest account tag removed are still subject to the guest account rights but the default settings (minus the Dup IP) provides them with the same basic rights they had on 2.3 as a non-Server Admin. The only thing changed is the offending tag and nothing else. As stated, it makes them the same thing as a normal 2.3 client.

We will be sending out an email to all clients today with information regarding the patch and any instructions (if any) that'll need to be done to complete the patch.

Ventrilo 3.0 now available!

The long awaited Ventrilo 3.0 client was released to the public early this morning. This major upgrade is for both client's and servers and will not work interchangably with other versions of Ventrilo.

Pure Voice's entire Ventrilo network was upgraded to version 3.0 today at 3:00am CST. This includes all deactivated accounts for all users who are returning to a cancelled account prior to the upgrade. This also includes all sponsored and affiliates accounts.

For anyone having any questions regarding the upgrade or any of the new features please consult the ventrilo website @ www.ventrilo.com or by opening a ticket via your ticket console located in your Pure Voice control panel.

New Location: Chicago, Illinois

Due to popular demand we have opened up another new location for our current and future customers. Chicago, Illinois has been added to our list of international locations for Ventrilo and TeamSpeak2 service.

Please note that if you are a current customer you can request to have your server moved to Chicago, IL by sending us an Email to support@pure-voice.net in the format outlined in your control panel.

TeamSpeak2, New Locations and More!

We have been at it again here at Pure Voice Communications, Inc. to not only provide you the best Ventrilo hosting possible, but now the best TeamSpeak hosting as well! That’s right; we are now offering TeamSpeak packages along with our current Ventrilo packages that can be found on our pricing page.

That’s not all though, we have plenty more additions and updates as well to our overall website and infrastructure. Firstly, as you may have already noticed, our website has been overhauled to offer both services and we have made minor updates to a portion of our graphical display. To accompany these website changes, of course we have also made minor bug and code changes to optimize your viewing experience and overall website functionality.

Next on the list are new locations!! We have added two new international locations to compliment our TeamSpeak service. The two new locations are London, England and Amsterdam, Netherlands. These locations will cater to both Ventrilo and TeamSpeak servers.

We have also added a 10 slot package to our Ventrilo service that we hope will provide a little more flexibility for those of you who don’t need the additional slots.

We are happy to announce a list of updates that will surely please both current and future customers in every way.
